"They come from beyond"

Overview

Capable of making bio-mechanical weapons out of human flesh, alien parasites grotesquely invade the Earth, turning their hosts into maniacal killers who seek and destroy each other to the bloody death! And yes, it s also a human love story, even though the budding romantics are infested with slimy, tumor-like globules.

Like a mix of Tetsuo and Tokyo Gore Police. Very body horror heavy, fun focus on practical effects. It's a bit of a slow-burn, despite the quick physical excitement right from the start the actual story unfolds slowly.

I did enjoy the idea of the premise (*spoilers*) which is that these alien parasites keep arriving on earth to take over human hosts and fight each other until the host is "used up", then moving on to the next human host. Oddly enough it is considered a romance too, but definitely not your typical of the genre. Certainly a bit bleak in that department lol.

The ending was lacking, but overall if you like the Tokusatsu genre and gory practical effects then it can be a fun watch. The parasite puppets inside the host were my favourite part, very demented and fun(ny).
