These two films involve storylines centered around the themes of family and crime, and the complicated intersection between the two. The first installment follows the main character's mission to help a dying monk find peace by reconnecting him with his estranged son, who is imprisoned for unknown crimes. The sequel follows the continuing journey of the main character, Harald, as he attempts to fulfil the dying monk's request of reuniting his foster child with his long-lost brother, while also being implicated in a web of crime and corruption himself.

A wacky and absurd comedy/crime film enlivened by the presence of Kim Bodnia and Nikolaj Lie Kaas. The film tells the non-stop adventures of Harald and his crew as they try to find money in various ways to get a liver transplant for his foster father and pay off a debt to a crime gang. It stands out with its action scenes and unusual sense of humor. Continuing the line captured in the previous 1999 film, I Kina Spiser de Hunde, without breaking it, the film has the atmosphere of a cartoon!
