A bit of a hidden gem, this.

'The Unnamed', aka (the better) 'Oggatonama', is a nice little film out of Bangladesh. It's nothing necessarily sensational, but it is a film that has an idea and fully delivers on that front. The premise is a stark one and the emotion of the characters comes across strongly - I cared throughout.

Fazlur Rahman Babu is the main reason for the aformentioned. I seriously dug his performance in this, as noted I felt every emotion that I was intended to feel and his showing is the clear reason for that. Elsewhere, I also enjoyed seeing Shatabdi Wadud, while the likes of Mosharraf Karim and Shahiduzzaman Selim make for solid supports.

The plot is, of course, very believable given the many similar stories I've heard down the years from across the world, you only have to look at what's gone on behind the scenes of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. It's messed up! There's a sequence of 'fobbing off' scenes near the end of this flick which kinda sum up the situation perfectly.

I wasn't terribly far away from giving this a 9/10 rating in truth. 8/10 is about right though, fwiw.
